EXPERIENCE

Picking up the guitar, piano and drums all at an early age, Ian was forced to embrace the idea of being a master of none. This mindset allowed him to hone a variety of skills, granting him a unique collection of abilities. After earning a degree in music composition from the University of the Arts, Ian now offers a range of services including teaching private lessons, performing as a freelancer or taking on requests for composition.

Coming from a family of educators, Ian knew early on teaching was in his blood. He started teaching privately as a junior in high-school, continued throughout his undergrad and is still teaching today. Inspired by the talent and passion of his mentors, Ian strives to share their love for music in a fun and engaging way.

As a performer, Ian has a unique selection of experiences. On drum set, he has played in multiple Philly based bands and in over 20 musical theater productions. Employed for his relaxing style, he's played piano at cocktail hours as well as in jazz combos. As a singer/guitarist, he frontman's a passion project and plays sets throughout the city.

Beginning as a high-school freshman, Ian has strived to hone his musical craft by composing pieces of all types. He has since written and arranged for ensembles ranging from theater departments to wedding ceremonies, eight-piece choirs to four piece combos, and more.

Songwriter

Inspired by classic rock, blues, funk, and jazz, Ian has written an extensive catalogue of songs, ranging from simple pop tunes to musical theater. The EP for his Indie rock Project, Clark Park, is expected to be released by mid 2025.

Having survived an eventful and tumultuous upbringing, Ian matured into a sophisticated artist. Self-taught to play guitar, piano and drums before 11, his acumen in music theory and experience in classical composition - complimented by his 16 years of industry work - has molded him in a uniquely capable multi-instrumentalist.

From playing piano in jazz combos, to conducting original pieces for orchestra - from playing drums in funk bands to front manning rock bands, Ian's experience, education and energy allowed him to thrive in the music community.
